26th June 2014 (Thursday)

Suki-Ya
Lot 6.24.04 Tokyo Street
Pavilion KL, Jalan Bukit Bintang
Kuala Lumpur

These days, I was actually on "travel days holiday" as just came from Kota Bharu, Kelantan on job duty in that early morning. Incidentally, in the morning I did not had breakfast. At 10:00 am, while I was browsing Facebook on my phone, there was a link that list the restaurants that have the longest queue in Kuala Lumpur.

Long queues mean is, to get into the restaurant, when a new customers arrive, they have to queue, because existing customers in the restaurant was still not finished yet. Sometime, they need to wait for several hours just to get in.

So I immediately browsed one of the restaurant in the article (sorry I could not include because I do not remember the web address), Suki-Ya at Pavilion KL. Furthermore, I have steamboat for a long time.

At the website, said the steamboat buffet lunch deals worth only RM29.90 only. What's more, sharp at 11:00 am, I leaf home because this restaurant will only be open at 11:30 am for lunch.

Arrived in front of the Pavilion promptly at 11:30 am. Relatively slow due to find free motorcycle parking, hehehe ... Not much empty, but still there, Alhamdulillah...

That why I felt it a common name, Suki-Ya is already have four branches, hmmm should be, there are a branch in Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya. At the opening of the Paradigm Mall (huh, long time already), I supposed to eat there. I Includ phone numbers for reservation. To note, reservation can only be made by phone only. Email, WhatsApp, other social media and so on are not treated, huhuhu.

But I am more casually, just walk-in. Interestingly, when I arrived at about 11:40 am, no queues anymore, Alhamdulillah, yahuuu!

Sorry, the picture blurred (did not noticed when it been taken). Just noticed the price is with ++, different from the website. Never mind, the important, beef, lamb and chicken are free flow. Also Japanese green tea either hot or cold also free flow. Alhamdulillah, I actually an ocha (green tea) addict.

Not only have steamboat, even sushi too. Can be eat later while waiting for the steamboat broth soup is boiling. Huh, it a grace as been long do not taste my favorite ... Hait!!!

For a main course, steamboat. Need to choose 2 of the four soups available. I chosed Sukiyaki (sweet soy sauce-based soup) and Kimuchi (kimchi based soup) for the first time I taste it.

The service were very efficient. Fast, poured soup, dip sauce arrived (given Thai sambal belacan  & Sukiyaki sauce, made me felt regreted for selecting Sukiyaki soup, huhuhu), the meat arrived.

The bar is called the Healthy Bar because mostly about vegetables, but there are also fish balls, mussels, meatballs and so on.

I was add on for many times. About halal, though the restaurant have no logo or Halal certification, but do not doubt, all food products derived from halal sources. The cause for being not halal is the restaurant also sold the beer and sake (not included in buffet package).

I ate for nearly to an hour and a half. My stomach full already and I do not countable how many ocha I drank.

Because I did not felt my stomach can be filled anymore, so I went ice cream bar. I took vanilla and chocolate ice cream from the machine. Then sprinkled with peanuts, corn flakes, sprinkling chocolate chips and nata de coco. It was heaven...

After 15 minutes I enjoyed ice cream and make sure no food left as if any wasting, I will be fined 20%.

A total of RM34.55 be my victims at this time. But it was well worth it. Insya Allah , I will be back here again or to another branch. To me this is the cheapest Japanese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur.

At this visit, I give (full mark is five (äääää)):
1. Foodäää1/2;
2. Surrounding: ääää1/2;
3. Service: ääää3/4;
4. Price:äää ä;
5. Overall: ääää1/4.
